Our trip to White Post Farm – April 2022

Guests and volunteers of Eastwood Memory Cafe recently enjoyed a visit to White Post Farm.

We left from the Conservative Club in Eastwood at 10:30am and were welcomed aboard the coach with a smile by Chris of JB Tours. It was a lovely sunny day, apart from a few clouds which didn’t dampen our spirits.

We were treated to a few jokes and a listen of a CD by the late, great Paul Eastwood which had us all laughing in the aisles.

On arrival at White Post Farm, we went through the reptile house to see slithery snakes and a bearded dragon, and then onto the barn where we saw newborn goats and lambs.

We enjoyed a leisurely lunch in the conservatory where the food was served promptly and with a friendly smile.

After lunch we went to see the meerkats, who seemed very pleased to see us, and later we were allowed to have a wander through the wallaby enclosure.

It was a lovely, leisurely afternoon with good company and lots of laughs. We all look forward to our next trip on the Princess River Cruise on the 26th of July.
