“Eastwood Memory Cafe is an excellent source of information and mutual support for all carers and people living with dementia, offering a friendly informal space where families can share experiences, educate and inform each other about local resources available to help them live well with dementia and access all appropriate initiatives for dementia services. The clinical teams find the Memory Cafe a fantastic resource, especially when moving on from cognitive stimulation therapy. There is little else available for these families locally that is specific for dementia, and the ethos and enthusiasm of the cafe helps them have hope and resilience to live well with dementia.”
